This is a fantastic four day photography workshop with fifth day digital imaging workshop to process all the work we did. The setting is the beautiful Sitka campus and gorgeous coastal environment, north of Lincoln City, at the Oregon coast. During the first four days we will go on two big photoshoots in superb (and almost unknown) coastal locations. Former students of all skill levels rave about this inspired, informative and hands-on workshop, guided by a top landscape, illustrative photographer. In addition to the photo outings we will offer discussion, instruction and talks on techniques (both film and digital), needed to operate your equipment in order to make truly beautiful photos - which everyone can learn to make. This workshop will convince you of the need to use and develop your gifts of seeing and imgination, as opposed to random and massive picture snapping. To be selective, observant and open to what the present reveals will be a core discipline practiced during these days. Next to the outings there will be a day of portraits and photographing the nude with a fine model. Any person with the motivation to bring her/his of photography to a higher level, no matter which level, will love this workshop. As an optional optional day there is the digital enhancement class. Students bring their own laptops to look at and process their photos with either Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements, or other digital managing software, under the guidance of the instructor, Peter Schütte. Film users are very much invited to this session because it will teach them what can be done to enhance photos in this manner. By 'enhancing' we mean correcting the basic limitations of film and paper in a subtle manner to attain the finest possible quality of our imagination.
